Weekend Update (and the miracle of Ketchup)

A big thank you to everyone for a good turnout on Sunday for the Lake Crabtree Shoreline Cleanup! Twenty sailors, parents, coaches and friends can cover a lot of shoreline! This was a great way for us to demonstrate to the Park staff, how much we appreciate being able to call Lake Crabtree home.

We finished sooner than expected, and moved onto boat cleanup late in the afternoon. We got the inside of the Parker's boat cleaned out and were able to clean and polish boats 18 and 19. Turns out, Coach Amanda is right! KETCHUP REMOVES STAINS FROM HULLS! In a side-by-side comparison to chemical products, ketchup is basically just as effective. The trick is a generous coating, and a ten minute wait time.

We had four sailors attend the regatta at the Community Sailing Center on Lake Norman on Saturday. Initial reports are they sailed well, and had fun. Hopefully, we will receive a slightly more detailed reporting in the next couple of days. Good job Ben Brindis, Alex White, Mark Thompson, and Aiden Sheehan!
