Here is a great opportunity to get in 2 full days of a racing clinic in sunny Charleston!
Partner up with someone, and sign up!
They are asking for early sign-up to make sure they have enough coaches.

Evan joined members of the Carolina Sailing Club and Carolina Sailing Foundation in their "boat float" at last Saturday's St. Patrick's Day Parade in Raleigh, NC. Great job Evan! Thanks for representing high school sailors. May you bring the Luck 'O the Irish to Charleston, when you travel to the SAISA District Championship next month. See the article below for more information about the Wakefield team's performance at Golds.

Great turnout for the Pizza Party and planning session on Saturday, March 3!
The coaches will make an announcement about the start of practices via email/facebook/website. Look for practices to begin mid-month, after the time has changed and the temperatures warm up a little bit.
Our events this spring will be open regattas (not ISSA high school events). Watch for more information about these upcoming regattas:

A big thank you to everyone for a good turnout on Sunday for the Lake Crabtree Shoreline Cleanup! Twenty sailors, parents, coaches and friends can cover a lot of shoreline! This was a great way for us to demonstrate to the Park staff, how much we appreciate being able to call Lake Crabtree home.

Last week we finally came to final decision about the practice schedule. Despite our best efforts, we were not able to separate the practices according to high school and unfortunately will have to deal with larger numbers of sailors on Tuesday and Thursday practices. In the end we came to this agreement:

Thank you everyone for the great turn out for the organizational meeting on Tuesday August 30th, 2011 at Lake Crabtree! We had 30 new or returning sailors and their parents attend the meeting.
Our coaches Amanda and Joe will spend the next couple of weeks working on fundamentals and assessing the sailors, in order to develop a practice plan. To help facilitate the assessment, the practice schedule for this week and next is as follows:
